This tab page allows you to set the current season of your organisation and its child organisations*. The current season is selected as a default in most pages (both admin and public) that have a season dropdown list within the selector bar. Before you can do other setup such as creating fixtures etc, you must set the current season.Image Removedconfigure seasons and initiate competition:

Current seasons

  1. Select the season - the list is restricted to the season(s) that are in progress**, and seasons from up to a year ago.
  2. Click Update

If the system has been configured by your organisation or a parent organisation to require re-confirmation of roles, the following happens when you set the current season to a new season:

  • A warning will display that this action will set the re-confirmation flags for applicable records (in most cases this would be PLAYER and UMPIRE roles). Note that as a safeguard, any role that has been re-confirmed within the last 10 months will not have its flag set.

*Setting current season for child organisations only applies if the current organisation is an association and does not apply to parent organisations.
**Seasons normally last for a year, and span either the calendar year (eg 2008) which are deemed to start on 1 January, or a crossover of years (eg 2007/2008) which are deemed to start on 1 July. Note that these are nominal start dates only, and do not affect when matches are actually played.

At some point before the commencment commencement of the first round (preferably about a month before) the association should also set the current season for all affiliated clubs. This is done by clicking the Go button. The normal course of events is for the association to set is own season, carry out team setup, draw creation etc, and then to set the clubs current seasons. This is to avoid setting the club season too early to a season where no matches have been set up yet.

Season List

This tab section allows past seasons to be added to the association so that historical data (eg fixtures) can be entered.

  1. To add a season select it from the Add season dropdown and click the Add button. If the season has already been added it is not added again. Seasons which have already commenced cannot be added here, the Current Season tab must be used for this.
  2. To remove a season click the Delete link next to the season. Seasons cannot be removed once matches have been created within that season.


Data Rollover

This section enables system administrator options to copy partial or the entire season/competition settings from previous season across for example, grade, draw, teams or fixture slots etc...
