A SportzVault home page is made up of the following items which display in the following order within the standard SportzVault framework:

In this way it is possible for a home page to be completely tailored for a particular need. to your needs.

Example scenarios are:

  • Standard home page of news and events summaries only - enable the news and events summaries (via the Sites...Preferences menu item) and leave both html content files empty.
  • Completely tailored home page consisting of custom html content - disable news and events summaries, and create html content in the 'top' content file (the bottom file is not required as it would follow on from the top file in this scenario).
  • News summary only, and a footer on the home page - enable the news summary, disable the Events summary, and add the footer html content in the 'bottom' content file.

  1. Choose Content...Html Pages...Home Page(top or bottom depending on the part of the home page you wish to edit.)
  2. The Html Page Maintenance screen opens. The Page Identifier indicates the type of page being edited and cannot be changed.
  3. Add your content in the Page Content Editor control. More information about adding Html type content to SportzVault.
  4. Click Update to save changes, which will be immediately be available on the public site.
    To abandon changes and reload the current page, click Reload To abandon changes, simply exit the page.
Note

If you are copying content into the editor from another source (Word Document, PDF, Website etc...) the editor may interpret formatting tags attached to the content in unexpected ways. Complications can be avoided by first pasting the content into a format free document (Eg: Notepad .txt file) and then copying the content of this file into the editor.
