The National Governing Body is responsible for managing the global settings that dictate Registration Management for their affiliates. Specifically, the National Governing Body must configure global Registration Periods and Types. From these global Periods and Types affiliated entities can then derive further periods and types. National Governing Bodies can also manage accounts and track payments via Registration Management.

A User at the National level should perform the following tasks:

  • Create Registration Types
  • Create Registration Periods
  • Manage accounts and record payments

 

Creating Registration Types

A Registration Type is a means of categorising registrations into a specific group and defining the fee that must be paid to the National Governing Body when a player is registered. child organisations (State Bodies / MOs) are able to create derived Registration Types which inherit the age restrictions of their parent Registration Type (Created by the National Governing Body) and automatically pass on the appropriate fee to the National Governing Body.

To create a new Registration Type click on the Add Registration Type link: 














This will open the Registration Type Edit page:

To save the Registration Type fill in the form and click Update.

 

The following table describes each of the fields on this form:

NameThe name of the Registration Type
DescriptionA description of the Registration Type
Minimum AgeValidation criteria. The minimum age a player must be to be registered with this type
Maximum AgeValidation criteria. The maximum age a player must be to be registered with this type
ActiveDetermines whether or not the Registration Type is active. (Types that are no longer in use should be made inactive)
Default Fee

The fee that must be paid to Netball Australia for every player that is registered with this Registration Type (or a Registration Type that inherits from this Registration Type)

Financial TypeFinancial / Non-Financial
Allow InheritDetermines whether or not child organisations can create derived Registration Types using this Registration Type

 

Creating Registration Periods

A Registration Period is used to define both the duration of a player's registration and the window of time in which administrators will be able to register players.

To create a new Registration Period click the Add New Registration Period button on top of the Registration Periods table:


































This will open up the Add New Registration Period dialogue box:

To save the Registration Period fill in the form and click Insert. 

 

The following table describes each of the fields on this form:

Fee PercentageAllows the user to set the percentage of a registration fee (as set in the Registration Type) required for part season registration if applicable
DescriptionA description of the Registration Period
Date FromThe date from which a player will be registered
Date ToThe date at which a player's registration ends
Open DateThe date that player registrations begin. No players can be registered before this date
Lock DateThe date from which changes to registrations (de-registration) can no longer be made
Close DateThe date at which player registrations end. No players can be registered after this date
Age Measurement DateValidation Criteria: The reference day and month for determining eligibility (against a member's birthdate) for a particular Registration Type
ActiveIs this registration period active or not. Old registration periods should be made inactive
Allow inheritAllows child organisations to create derived Period Types
DefaultSets the Registration Period as the default for child organisations

 

Viewing Account Statements

To generate the Account Summary as a PDF file select the option from the Actions menu then press Perform Action:

To open the account details page for a child organisation click the corresponding View link:

 

To extract the data to Microsoft Excel 2007, Microsoft Excel 2003, Tab separated values (TSV) or Comma separated values (CSV) formats click the Download data link.

The following tables indicate the data fields included in the Download data extract

Adjusting Accounts

To adjust the account of a child organisation select it from the Affiliate Name list, enter the amount to be credited to the account and a brief note in the journal section then click Submit:
